Slow Cooker Potpourri

I would not have thought of making a pot pourri in my crockpot. But this is so easy – and so logical – I have to try it. I love the blend of oranges with cinnamon and cloves that is described on TheNoviceChefBlog.com.

Usually, I like to save the rinds from oranges we eat (in a ziplock bag in the freezer) and just pop them in the crock pot when I am ready. You can do this with any citrus, but for the fall smell I like oranges the best. For a different smell – rosemary and lemon is also a favorite of mine!

I hope you enjoy this as much as we have! It gives such a warm fall citrusy scentto the whole house and it’s incredibly easy to do!

The ingredients are just as they look on the picture…

  • 2 oranges, quartered
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tablespoons whole cloves
  • 2 cups water (more as needed)
