Hey, i’m fighting with this problem since i’m 12 years old, it makes me sick.. everytime I go to a public swimming pool or take a shower in my dance center I can be sure to get a new fungus! Now I found something that seems to support the cure, well of course I use the typical creme my doc prescribes, but i am now also using shoe inserts of cedar wood to support the curing process and i am well surprised! I have dry feet using them and seems like they have a natural antibacterial effect (i read a bit about it) so it’s a good thing i think! Hope i could help!
If you have diabetes, you may have reduced blood circulation and nerve supply in your feet. You're also at greater risk of a bacterial skin infection (cellulitis). So any relatively minor injury to your feet — including a nail fungal infection — can lead to a more serious complication. See your doctor if you have diabetes and think you're developing nail fungus.
Following this protocol for several months might be able to help solve the problem for good, and then you can slowly reintroduce sources of sugar like fruit, or whole grains, while monitoring your progress. However, keep in mind that some candida or yeast sufferers have lived with their condition for years, so combating the issue might take more than just a few weeks or months.
I can tell you my own mother struggled with toenail fungus on her big toe for over 10 years, and the reason why she originally got it and then continued to struggle with this fungus was the chemotherapy she went through when diagnosed with breast cancer years ago. After going through chemo, she had systemic yeast and candida issues and then developed the toenail fungus. The exact treatment I detail below is what we used with her to successfully erase her fungus.

Baking soda is not fungicidal-that is, it does not kill the fungus. It is, however, fungistatic, which means it can prevent fungus from growing and spreading. The reason it acts like this is because it is alkaline-the opposite of acidic-and fungus is able to flourish when its environment is more acidic. It seems counter-intuitive then, that using vinegar to kill nail fungus would be a good idea, but vinegar is a fairly weak acid, and will help kill off the fungus without altering the Ph. of the environment in a harmful way.
Toenail fungus is a very common occurrence. Its symptoms include yellowing, inflammation and crumbling of the nail. It generally is not painful, but can be if the fungus spreads. If it is left untreated, it can lead to cracking and splitting of the nail, and even complete loss of the toenail. It usually occurs under conditions such as abnormal pH levels of the skin, diabetes, ongoing exposure to moist environments and a weakened immune system. Thankfully, there is good news when it comes to treating toenail fungus as there are numerous treatments that can cure and eliminate the fungus which is inexpensive. Here are some foods and treatments that can be used to treat these infections.
One of the more attractive things about Fungus Fix is that it will be easy on your wallet; it is a relatively inexpensive compound. It does seem to work for some people, too. The top of the bottle has an applicator brush so applying the solution to the nails will not present any difficulties. Although it is not mentioned, it might be a good idea to wash off the brush with soap and water, and then dry it, before returning it to the bottle to prevent contaminating the remaining liquid with the fungus.

Kelly, I am worried about the prescription, and I know which one you are talking about. There are serious concerns about liver damage. I would never take it, ever. Also, the 85% success rate is highly exaggerated. Tea tree oil and coconut oil mixed together will absolutely cure it but there is one huge catch: you have to apply it every single day without fail, and you have to try to keep your feet dry and uncovered as much as possible. It is very simple but takes your best effort to stick to it. Look up ‘nail fungus diary’ and you’ll see how bad my nails were and how much better they’ve gotten. Toenail fungus can be cured safely and naturally. I also used something called Kerasal Nail which isn’t all natural but I think you’d be just fine without it.
To use Funginix, apply the viscous solution to the nail with a brush applicator and wipe away the excess with a cotton swab. Keep your feet dry while using Funginix for maximum effect. The solution will absorb in about five minutes and starts working quickly. For the best results, use Funginix consistently. Customers love this one-of-a-kind toenail fungus solution and post about its success in product reviews.

Nail fungus; be it on your toenails or your fingernails is an unpleasant business to have to deal with. Officially known as onychomcosis, it is most often caused by moisture trapped in a warm dark place (because of shoes, this is why it more commonly effects toenails) which is the environment fungus thrives in. In some cases it can be caused by mold, or yeast, but it’s still collectively called nail fungus-nail mold or nail yeast just doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
3. Lemon juice can be used to successfully treat toenail fungus. It to has antiseptic and anti fungal properties to eliminate the fungus. As mentioned in other treatments, it is not just important to kill the bacteria and fungus present on the toenail, but you will also want to stop it from spreading. Lemon juice can stop the fungus from spreading since it contains citric acid. First, apply fresh lemon juice onto the infected nail. Leave this on for about 30 minutes. After this time, rinse the lemon juice off thoroughly with warm water. You can use this treatment a couple of times a day until you obtain the positive results you are looking for. You can also try mixing equal parts lemon juice and olive oil, massaging the mixture onto the infected toe. Leave this on for a couple of hours and then rinse it off thoroughly. The olive oil will provide the added benefits of softening the skin and treating the nail, while the lemon juice controls the fungus. Again this can be done a couple of times a day.
I’ve read about good results from various methods. I’m just beginning a regime, but am wondering would it help or hinder to try two methods at the same time, such as the vinegar/water soak and Vicks? It seems if there are multiple types of fungus and some remedies work on one type but not another, I wondered if this might speed up the results. I just realized I had toe fungus on multiple toes after thinking they were just damaged due to hiking. It’s been over three years and I am ready to have my normal toes back!

Consult your doctor if you’re not sure you have toenail fungus. It’s often hard to recognize a toenail infection in the early stages, partially because the symptoms are similar to other conditions. However, treating toenail fungus in the early stages gives you the best chance of recovering your healthy nails. To get prompt treatment, it’s best to see your doctor if you have questions.[10] Here are the symptoms of toenail fungus:[11]

REPLACE: Simply switching to a natural diet of healthy, whole, unprocessed and fresh foods can go a long way toward restoring your gut health. Repair the health of your digestive system with lots of green leafy lettuces and plenty of fresh veggies. Balance your macronutrients with added healthy fats and healthy proteins. The natural fiber found in fresh veggies will help to strengthen the health of the digestive system and restore bacterial balance. The benefits of fats and proteins are too numerous to mention, but when it comes to yeast infections, these macronutrients help to reduce cravings for sugar and keep you feeling fuller for longer periods.
I got a toenail fungus after getting a pedicure. Did not put my feet in the bath so the implements must have been contaminated. Did a lot of research online and decided to do a vinegar soak that worked for someone. I used straight plain white vinegar in a plastic shoe box from the dollar store. Soaked feet about two hours a day for four straight days. I used the same vinegar each day. That was almost 6 months ago. I have done no treatment since then. I could tell the fungus was gone after doing the vinegar soaks. Nail has grown out about 1/3 of the way. I’ll probably never get another pedicure but now know an easy, almost free cure if I ever get another toenail fungus. Forget those expensive, toxic pills and use vinegar.
