With natural antiseptic and antifungal properties, castor oil and tea tree oil for nail fungus have been used for centuries. Undiluted tea tree oil can be applied directly to affected nails to help kill fungus; ten minutes after application, gently massage the oil into the nail using an old toothbrush. When applied to surrounding skin, tea tree oil is best diluted with a carrier oil such as coconut or olive oil. Continue to use daily until several weeks after new nail growth has occurred to prevent the fungus from returning.
I’ve had toe nail fungus for 25+ years. I’ve never taken medicine or tried a natural remedy to cure it, I’ve just always lived with it. I went on a green juice cleanse for 28 days. Nothing but green juice, water, and coffee for four weeks (inspired by “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” on Netflix). I was looking to lose a few pounds and give my body a detox. 6 months later, my nails are almost completely clear. I figure another 2-3 months of growth and I will be able to cut away the remainder of my discolored nails. This happened purely by accident. Apparently, the fungus in your nails thrives from yeast and sugar in your everyday diet. Cut out those items, kill the fungus. No pills. No soaking. I ended up dropping 30 lbs in 28 days and as a bonus my nails are going to be ready for flip flops for the first summer in 25 years! Do some research about changing your diet to beat toenail fungus… It worked for me!
I got a toenail fungus after getting a pedicure. Did not put my feet in the bath so the implements must have been contaminated. Did a lot of research online and decided to do a vinegar soak that worked for someone. I used straight plain white vinegar in a plastic shoe box from the dollar store. Soaked feet about two hours a day for four straight days. I used the same vinegar each day. That was almost 6 months ago. I have done no treatment since then. I could tell the fungus was gone after doing the vinegar soaks. Nail has grown out about 1/3 of the way. I’ll probably never get another pedicure but now know an easy, almost free cure if I ever get another toenail fungus. Forget those expensive, toxic pills and use vinegar.

The key to effectively fighting toenail fungus with essential oils is consistency. You need to be religious with using essential oils to see lasting results. You can’t do this once a day, then miss a day here and there and say you’re not seeing changes. If you use these two oils four times a day for two months, in 90+ percent of cases, it will clear up your toenail fungus for good!
Hematomas under the nail bed are large red, brownish, or black spots that occur after a trauma such as slamming a toe in a door or hitting a finger with a hammer. Caused by burst blood vessels under the nail, hematomas will grow out with the nail. However, if a red or black spot occurs under the nail without trauma, it is important to have it checked out by a doctor as it may be melanoma.

Try Cinnamon Leaf Oil as is a very powerful anti-fungal and dries out the nail nicely. In my case it helped to flake off the nail that was full of fungus until a new nail started to grow. Don’t know how I lived with it for so long. Apple Cider vinegar was too mild for me. Apparently to prevent it from coming back you really have to drink Cinnamon Tea (not Cassia Cinnamon which can damage your liver). I discovered I was eating all the wrong foods and my whole body was infested with a Candida overgrowth. Drinking the Cinnamon tea really cleaned up my system. I don’t eat too much sweets or dairy anymore, which seems to be the key. Oh yeah one more thing you really have to keep your toes dry and clean. I threw all my shoes and socks away, but well worth it for the results. If you want fast results, you really have to go with Cinnamon Leaf Oil. Since then I have been using the Cinnamon oil all around the house to disinfect and get rid of bad smells and mold in the bathroom. This oil is fantastic.
