Australian tea tree oil is a two or three applications remedy. Toe nail fungus hides under the nail, but its weakness is it needs air. So after soaking your foot in hot water for a time, get a wooden tooth pick and dig under the nail to remove as much fungus as you can. You will be surprised how far in you can go. Using about the third toothpick dip that in tea tree oil several times to fill under the nail. Then dig back under the nail to get the oil as far in as you can. Its cheap , its no fuss and its natural. Tea tree oil also fixes athletes foot, Ringworm and other fungal ailments regardless of area affected. Friend had a fungal condition on his anus. A suppository soaked in tea tree oil fixed that. Doctors remedies and diet did not. Rob
I work with pools all spring/summer/fall every year (installing/removing/cleaning/maintaining), and am a plumber all year around, My feet are almost ALWAYS wet or in water daily, while I’ve been fortunate to have never had any fungal issue (yet), they got like how you described your feet, dry and cracked from constantly being wet and dry, What worked great for ME was to scrub my feet thoroughly with a good stiff foot scrubber brush and “Sloughing” creme (my wife got the brush and creme through her Avon makeup lady for less than $10) twice per day and than wash them off in very hot soapy water, than towel dried and powdered my feet with Johnson’s baby powder and heavily powdered my socks and shoes. That worked great for my very dry, cracked feet. they quickly became nice and smooth and soft again! No oils, meds or lotions helped. Now I just make sure that I wash, dry and powder my feet as soon as possible once they get wet or sweaty to keep them nice, and I also keep my shoes clean and dry. Good Luck!
If you have an infection, you might be feeling alarmed. You might feel self-conscious about the condition and feel like you’re alone. Rest easy. Toenail fungus may be an eyesore, but it isn’t a reason for embarrassment. In fact, it is surprisingly common; more than 10% of adults have fungal nail infections. Additionally, 20% of adults over the age of 60 deal with fungus as well.
In folk remedies, garlic has always found a significant place due to its health benefits. Modern studies have further proved the excellent anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of garlic. There is this compound in garlic called ajoene which is a strong anti-fungal agent. This ajoene is actually formed by the combination of the compound allicin and the enzyme allinase, both present in raw garlic. When you crush or mash a raw garlic clove, these two components allicin and allinase come into contact and form ajoene.
Toenail fungus, medically known as Onychomycosis, is a potentially embarrassing problem which can be difficult to treat. Although it may not work for everyone, you can use vinegar to help treat your mild to moderate case of toenail fungus. Additionally, support your treatment process by undertaking preventative care. However, it’s best to see your doctor if you aren’t sure if you have a fungal infection, your infection worsens, or you have diabetes.
The final step to removing fungal and yeast infections is taking supplements, such as the probiotic supplement that I mentioned above. A quality probiotic supplement will help you get rid of the yeast and candida in your system that’s truly causing your toenail fungus. I personally recommend a probiotic supplement that has at the very least 10+ strains of probiotics with at least 15 billion CFUs.
I started treating the yeast with probiotics, oregano oil and garlic capsules. After 2-3 weeks all of the symptoms are gone. I keep taking the garlic tablets and the probiotics and will continue to so, I guess, forever. Of course, eliminating sweets and white flower, which feed the fungus, would work better but I just don’t think I could sustain that type of diet.
