I just wanted to add that I had good results with cornmeal. I fill a tub with dry cornmeal and cover my toes in it. It feels like putting your toes in a sandy beach. I let them set in the dry mixture for about 30 min. to an hour. I try to do this about twice a week. Suffocates and dries out the fungus. I also sprinkle dry cornmeal in my shoes. I will follow up with the coconut oil, I think that will be wonderful.

Hey, i’m fighting with this problem since i’m 12 years old, it makes me sick.. everytime I go to a public swimming pool or take a shower in my dance center I can be sure to get a new fungus! Now I found something that seems to support the cure, well of course I use the typical creme my doc prescribes, but i am now also using shoe inserts of cedar wood to support the curing process and i am well surprised! I have dry feet using them and seems like they have a natural antibacterial effect (i read a bit about it) so it’s a good thing i think! Hope i could help!
First, mix 1 cup of your chosen vinegar with enough water to soak your feet in. Soak for 15 minutes, and then pat dry with paper towels. Follow this by adding several tablespoons of baking soda to enough water to soak your feet in, and soak for 15 minutes. Pat feet completely dry with paper towels. Do this twice a day. The idea is that the vinegar will kill off the fungus, while the baking soda will then inhibit the growth of more.

When putting the vinegar soaked cotton balls on our nails both me and my husband felt our nails get a tingling sensation. It never hurt or irritated the skin. The first thing to notice that it is working is when the cutical is starting to disattach from the funus infected nail. I’ve tried different remedies and this has been effective, cheap, and easy. It is definitely worth a try and don’t get discouraged, it won’t clear it up right away. It takes time and once you notice the change its a big relief. I got a toenail fungus after getting a pedicure. Did not put my feet in the bath so the implements must have been contaminated. Did a lot of research online and decided to do a vinegar soak that worked for someone. I used straight plain white vinegar in a plastic shoe box from the dollar store. Soaked feet about two hours a day for four straight days. I used the same vinegar each day. That was almost 6 months ago. I have done no treatment since then.
